Here is the photo guide on how to remove the stock IR filter on the Samsung SCB-4000. The filter on SCB-2000 was easy to remove but with SCB-4000 you need to put more work to it. You don’t have to unplug any cables during the process.

Disassembly And Removing The Filter

Unplug and remove the lens.
Remove the screws on the top and the bottom of the camera body.

Slide out the cover.
Undo the two bottom screws to get better access to the front circuit board.
Remove 3 screws at the corners. These screws are holding the circuit board in place.
Now remove one screw on the front plastic wheel. Turn the plastic wheel anticlockwise until the circuit board is released.
Remove the front cover.
Remove two screws that are holding the metal shielding.
Now you have access to the inside. Remove one screw holding the plastic cover.
Remove the plastic cover to get access to the IR filter.
Slide the metal rods to remove them out of the housing.
Now you can remove the filter and work the way backwards to put the camera together again.
And here is the camera without the filter. Good luck 🙂
